4th ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
APPLICATION, GOALS, AND CRITERIA INFORMATION
Dear YFSC Member:
The YFSC Alumni Trustees will be awarding the 4th Annual Scholarship to two full members of the YFSC during intermission of the Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2010, performance of the year-end Skating School show. The Alumni have established a monetary award to aid in the many skating expenses that will be incurred during your years of skating. This gift can be used for any of your skating needs (see goals).
Based on the following criteria:
- Skater must be a full member in good standing of the YFSC and/or Team Image
- Participation in the annual YFSC competition
- Participation in YFSC events (i.e., car wash, parades, etc.)
- Participation in other skating activities during the skating season
- Demonstrates good sportsmanship
- Submission, by copy, of most recent report card
- Non-skating activities (club memberships, community organizations, volunteer activities)
- Essay/skating portfolio (be creative) on one of the following topics:
- How skating influences my life.
- How skating has helped me to become a better person.
- What I like best about skating.
To date, we have received the support of many alumni, and hope current club members will become involved and help make this alumni fund become a success.
Applications, goals and criteria for this award will be available on the YFSC Bulletin Board. Please drop by and pick one up. Application, essay and copy of report card will be due on April 3, 2010.
