PRESS RELEASE:
Team Image Synchronized Skating Teams had successful skates at the 2010 Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships, January 28-30, 2010 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA. This event is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.
All three teams represent the Yonkers Figure Skating Club, and practice at the EJ Murray Skating Center in Yonkers, New York.
TEAM IMAGE PRELIMINARY- Coached by Celeste Cote - Estrada, and Stacey Orfini skated to a Silver Medal finish in the Preliminary Division. This Preliminary Team skated in the top three for the Qualifying Round and went on to the Championship Round where they were crowned the Silver Medalists for the East Coast!
The team members are: Ashley Antonio, Taylor Blake, Gianna Cambria, Sinead Carthy, Isabella Dinelli, Rachel Ellenbogen, Emma Estrada, Sarena Fernando, Emma Kegel, Renata Pratt, Christine Rodriguez, Rachel Schneider, Shoshana Schwartz, Alessandra Stark, Angelica Stark, Delia Tager, Paige Wilkie.

TEAM IMAGE NOVICE- Coached by Sylvia Muccio, and Lauren Hunt skated in the top five for the Novice Division, and have now qualified for Nationals which will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the first week in March.
The team members are: Gabrielle Bernstein, Lillian Brouwer, Courtney Buell, Cathryn Callahan, Alyssa Cambria, Yasmyn Camp, Victoria Capra, Nicole Collado, Leah De Egidio, Christina DeBartolo, Tori DeLillo, Lily Kane, Madeleine Klibonoff, Emma Leary, Kara Magoolaghan, Marissa Miksad, Serena Pratt, Rachel Simerka-Smith, Lana Tager, Nicole Vanderwerker.

TEAM IMAGE INTERMEDIATE- Coached by Sylvia Muccio, and Cindy Kim have captured the GOLD for the Intermediate Division! This is a 3-peat Gold finish for the Intermediate Team at Sectionals. They have won Sectionals for 2008, 2009, and now 2010!
The team members are: Kelsey Anspach, Christine Anspach, Alexandra Berliner, Michelle Carusone, Sarah Johnson, Kristina Kopans, Alexis Leahy, Heather Marchione, Chloe McFadyen, Katie O’Brien, Martina Peeples, Jessica Schneider, Lissette Schum, Izra Serrantes, Jacqueline Sullivan, Alexandria Vicente.
The Intermediate Team has qualified for Nationals with this first place finish and will compete at Nationals during the first week in March.
Nationals will take place this year at the Mariucci Arena, University of Minneapolis Campus, Minneapolis, Minnesota from March 3 –6, 2010.
Team Image Intermediate will be defending their National Championship Title which they won last year with a GOLD MEDAL FINISH at Nationals 2009!

Sylvia Muccio has spearheaded this organization for over 20 years. She is the Executive Director of Team Image and Head Coach of the Intermediate Champions. The team is looking forward to a title finish for their beloved coach who last year was not able to attend Nationals with them due to Breast Cancer. Sylvia, now a breast cancer survivor continues to place all her teams of the Team Image Organization in the highest regard. Team Image Skaters learn sportsmanship, teamwork and discipline as well as the techniques of Synchronized Figure Skating, all while making friendships that last a lifetime! The entire Team Image Organization walked along side Sylvia this year at the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk 2009 at Purchase College.
Sylvia is so proud of all the skaters of Team Image. Our Organization is so proud to be sending our two teams to Nationals this year! Go Team Image!
