YFSC HAS WONDERFUL NEWS TO SHARE!

This year the ISI 2009 Education Foundation Scholarship Recipient is our own club member - BRIANA PIGOTT!

Each year the ISI Education Foundation awards scholarships to ISI skaters who have demonstrated a commitment to academics and service. The skaters needed to maintain a 3.0 GPA, participate in a variety of school and community activities, continue to test and compete in the ISI program, and complete 120 hours of service. The applications are for all skaters in every district of ISI throughout the World!

YFSC would like to congratulate Briana on this outstanding award! We are all very proud of Briana and wish her continued success with skating and College. Briana will be attending YALE this fall where she received a Full Scholarship!

Congratulations to her parents Nancy & Jerry. Nancy was a past officer of the YFSC Executive Board, and over the years made many contributions to the club, and to its members! Congrats Mom & Dad!

Briana will receive her Award on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the ISI Benefit on Ice which will feature Caroline Zhang along with Scholarship Recipients, and skaters chosen from the competition this week in San Jose, California. What a wonderful night this will be for Briana! YFSC wishes her a GR8 SK8!

We want to thank Briana for all her years of representing the YFSC at Worlds and wish her well at her final ISI Worlds Competition!
