Club History
Established in 1986, The Yonkers Figure Skating Club is a parent run organization. It was created for skaters who are interested in all aspects of figure skating from recreational to competitive.
Its goal is to create well-rounded athletes. Skaters not only learn the art and athleticism of figure skating but they learn responsibility, dedication, and leadership.
The YFSC gives skater a family friendly and small town feel environment that nurtures life long friendships. Many of our skaters give back to their community and club by becoming coaches themselves.
The club is a member of the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) and the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). Club members have the opportunity to take part in competitions, events, and tests in both organizations.
Over the years YFSC has produced several regional, sectional, and nationally recognized competitive athletes in the area of single skating, pair skating and synchronized skating.
The YFSC is a 501c3 tax exempt organization. The YFSC board sees to all the functions of the organization.
